Creativity is Ramping Up and Amping Up in Dover

You may have noticed that a lot has been happening at the street level of the Richards Building.  To say that we have been busy would be an understatement.  But one thing that has been out of sight has long been on our minds.

 & we’re so excited to share it with you.

The sub-street level art space that we have been calling the Richards Basement (shoutout Basement Bash ’24 & ’25!), has officially been named: welcome to The Amp!

The Amp is collaborative.  The Amp is inclusive.  The Amp is diverse.  We are all types of artistic expression, made by all types of people, using all types of media. 

A little bit of this & a little bit of that. 

Let’s be honest: we’re a bunch of nerds over here at the Richards Building. But we’re creative, collaborative nerds (the best kind!).  What started as a suggestion (“Amp” short for "amplify"), evolved into Ampersand (or “&”, a symbol of inclusivity & connection), and finally refined to, simply, The Amp.

& let’s just say our minds have been exploding with possibilities since!  Paint & Sip? Yes! & also Clay & Cabernet? Why not! Arts & Crafts & Ampersand-wiches? The possibilities for inclusivity are endless!
