This new addition to the Mercantile isn't just a place to pay for all of your awesome finds. This is a part of Richards Building history. The wood was part of the original construction of the Richards Building itself, and now it's back in action as the Mercantile's brand-new checkout counter.

From the benches in the Loft to the Instagram Wall at The Amp (IYKYK), original wood from the Richards Building has been given a second life in some pretty unexpected places. Now, the Mercantile’s new checkout counter joins the collection.

It’s a full-circle moment: wood that helped build the Richards Building is now helping shape its future. One reclaimed board at a time, we’re finding new ways to bring the building’s history into everyday life.

Merchants will be moving in by mid-December, so get excited for holiday shopping at the Mercantile!
