Historic Homages

It’s been a while since our last post, because we’ve been so busy with construction at the Richards Building in Downtown Dover, NJ! The magic about this historic space is that every corner you turn there are new possibilities, as well as hints of the past. One touch of yesteryear we’ve recently added: Awnings that reflect the building’s J.J. Newberry’s era, featuring the same green and yellow stripes as the long-gone luncheonette’s midcentury canopies (See how original we are?)

You could almost say we're ‘awnering’ our building’s past!

The newly-installed awnings already got some use at the kickoff of Dover Art Week, where the Richards Building served as the backdrop for an incredible array of art and craft displays. The awnings provided some much-appreciated shade for those browsing the artist booths while live music pumped from across Blackwell at the sidewalk fiesta.

Check back here for more historical goodies we have in store from the Richards Building!
