Event Space & Photo/Video Studio
When George Richards - wealthy industrialist and Dover's first mayor - built the first section of the Richards Building in the early 1880s, he reserved the southeast corner of the 3rd floor as his personal office - a large dormered space flooded with natural light and classic architectural details.
This room is undergoing significant restoration, with the goal of creating a room that serves as both an Event Space, and also a professional photography and video studio. High vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, original hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, and large white-framed windows will create a space that feels both elevated and authentic.

As an event space, the room is ideal for performances, presentations, award ceremonies, and community gatherings. With ample space, character-filled architecture, and a layout that can be adapted for different setups, it offers a professional yet inviting setting for events of all kinds.
As a studio, this space offers depth, texture, and character that can’t be replicated by traditional photo studios — making it ideal for fashion, lifestyle, editorial shoots, branded content, and video interviews. For creators who need a clean studio look, professional 9' x 20' Westcott backdrops are available for an additional fee: white, black, and green screen. Backdrops can be set up quickly and removed after your session, allowing the space to adapt to your creative needs without sacrificing its character.

Parking
One of the many great things about downtown Dover is its walkability, but car parking is also a necessity. As such, we have secured 25 dedicated parking spaces for customers and 50 parking spots for tenants in Lot B.
Tenants will also have access to two 15-minute loading zones – one at the corner of Bassett and Warren and one at the corner of Sussex and Bassett.
