Our findings certainly support the idea that people used to smoke alot -- in multiple locations, we have uncovered different tobacco products. Tarleyton cigarettes, Phillies cigars, Velvet pipe tobacco... plus a pack of matches from the Crescent Grill. (We think most of these date from the 1950s.)
We also found two items that are probably related to all this tobacco consumption. A pack of Beech Nut gum (nobody wants to have cigarette breath!) and a package of Vicks Medicate Cough Drops.
