The Richards Building has been through many iterations since it opened its doors in the 1880’s. Long before it was envisioned as a creative hub, the Richards Building was home to The Iron Era, a weekly newspaper that served Dover from 1882 to 1901. Back then, the sound of printing presses echoed from the corner of Sussex and Blackwell, delivering headlines and hometown updates to a growing community.
Today, that legacy continues—this time, in a red Radio Flyer wagon.

If you haven’t already seen the first issue of DOVERNOW magazine, be on the lookout for issues being hand-delivered from our new (old-fashioned) red wagon to businesses all around town.
That little red wagon? It’s not just for fun (though it is fun). It’s a throwback and a conversation starter, a symbol of how we’re keeping things personal and grassroots while expanding our reach. It represents everything we believe in: slowing down, showing up, and making real connections.
With every roll of the wheels, we’re honoring the Richards Building’s publishing past and bringing local stories to life in a tangible, screen-free way. The Richards Building has always had a voice. We’re just helping it speak to a new generation.
