Surprise windows!

As noted earlier, one of our current projects is trying to uncover the original brick walls by removing plaster and other finishes that accumulated over the years. One spot we targeted was this area, as shown in a previous blog post decorated with some (Newberry's?) red striping.

When we took that plaster off, we found some surprise windows! (The brick looks great too.)

When we went up on the roof to look, we realized these windows open into the courtyard in the middle of all the buildings. So hopefully we can open these back up and integrate them into our interior plans. More natural light!
